Carrier Oils

I always love discussing carrier oils with people who are on their Essential Oil journey! Many are so popular that I have a feeling you’ve already heard about them.

Some of the most common are pure olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, and avocado oil just to name a few.

Carrier oils need to be part of your natural arsenal if you’re committing to living a holistic lifestyle and they are very, VERY, worth it!

They are used when:

  • You want to use a little essential oil (maybe a drop) and apply it to a large area

  • You want the carrier oils’ lipids to drive the essential oils into the pores

  • You want essential oils to absorb better internally

  • You want to avoid a rash from concentrated oil if you have sensitive skin

There are so many other carrier oils (like apricot, grapeseed and evening primrose) but if you’re looking to dabble without breaking the bank, I recommend starting with coconut oil as the uses are plentiful.
